Short Version: Blake takes pics. His style is the result of relentless experimentation with a self-taught DIY approach to mastering his craft. And something else. Something important. A child-like fascination for the human element of each scene. The art he makes is stripped of pretension or pretending. He's had the good fortune to deliver this artistic vision for incredible organizations like Shambhala Music Festival, ProBar, Mount Seymour Resort, Blessed Coast Music Festival, Valhalla Pure Outfitters, and more.
Long-Winded Version: Blake is also a speaker, educator, author, and avid outdoorsman. He grew up in North Vancouver with mountains and a rainforest right in his backyard. He loves hiking and ultralight backpacking. 26 years of active exploration have led him to a career as a nature-based educator based on the 8 Shields model. He has a bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy from Dalhousie. And wouldn't you know it somehoaw he ended up studying computational science. Specifically the intersection of consciousness with AI and the impending rise of "thinking machines". Heavy stuff for a guy who is clearly a dirt loving hippie.
Alright hold up, I'm going to drop the 3rd person perspective for a second to speak to you directly. I'm super proud of how much care goes into ensuring the people I work with and the environments we visit are treated with respect. As an entrepreneur and global citizen my intention is to leave each relationship I enter into better than when I found it. It's a big goal. My hope is that you're someone who cares about those sort of things too.
